Beauty starts with taking care of oneself. Eating right and taking care of our skin is a great start, but one cannot forget about our lips. Yes, drinking water will help your lips healthy but using a lip scrub once or twice a week will make your lips amazing and boost their health.
The pros of lip scrubs are they remove dry skin, make lips soft and smooth, keep lips moist, make your lipstick look better and stay on longer, and prevent dehydration. Thankfully, you don’t have to go out and buy a lip scrub either to get all these benefits.
The recipe I have chosen is super easy. It’s a mixture of honey and sugar since sugar is an effective natural exfoliant that becomes moisturizing when mixed with honey.
- Mix one teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of sugar.
- Massage the mixture onto your lips and leave it on for ten minutes.
- Then, remove it with a wet face washer.
- Make sure you are gentle and put on some chapstick afterward so that moisture is kept in your lips.
Taking some time out of your day to take care of the body will also provide some downtime or even bonding time with others in the house. Stay safe out there!
