Life Quote: “Choose to be different, choose to be unique, and choose to be the one that stands in the crowd dancing while others or standing still”
We love shining the light on our Luxe Beauties! This month we had the pleasure of interviewing Rhonda McTyre!
What are your views or thoughts about the plus size industry and do you feel the society accepts kurvy women?
As a plus size woman I believe society only see plus size women from one view point sometimes they forget plus size women come in different packages; curvy, box shape, pear shape, square etc. It’s time to start thinking outside of the box. Every shape needs to embrace on mannequins, magazines, commercials. Etc.… Society accepts Kurvy women once they start seeing other organizations accepting Kurvy women. It takes one to break the chain.
What motivated you to become a model?
Modeling to me is more of a testimony. For years I was told I was to short, shaped like a bag of potatoes, or I would never amount to anything. After hearing so many negative responses. I decided to put my faith to work. When I lay out on my floor crying on how to pay one bill while working multiple jobs and I still wasn’t making I cried, begged and pleaded to God to help me. If I gave up those other jobs to focus on one job and my passion. I will remain obedient to his word. He woke me up up out my sleep and said” daughter I got you “. To me it was total confirmation and I haven’t looked back since.
