Just three years ago news outlets covered the story of then four-year-old Caliyah Ross who was burned in a grease fire alongside her aunt. Latoya, her mother will be releasing a docuseries called PrettyThoro Presents: WE ALL HAVE SCARS on the third year anniversary Tuesday, April 13, 2021. In light of May being Mental Health month & Mother’s Day is fastly approaching, we believe this story will give families around the world a story of hope and resilience.
This documentary tells the story of a four-year-old girl named Caliyah who suffered third-degree burns to her face from a grease fire, alongside her aunt. From PTSD to bipolar depression, you will get a glimpse of how a family was impacted. This film also tells the stories of other burn survivors, what it took for them to overcome their scars, and their current road to recovery.

Caliyah wants to inspire, connect, transform, and offer hope to others through her story. From being in an induced coma for a month, having to learn how to talk and walk again, to creating her own brand and bond with her family pushes Caliyah to keep going.
