HOLLYWOOD’S STARS GATHERED VIRTUALLY, AND IN STYLE, TO CELEBRATE THE INDUSTRY’S BIGGEST AND BRIGHTEST
As the pandemic continued and social distancing remained a priority, we saw the Golden Globe nominees remain safe at home. The virtual aspect of the award show allowed nominees to dress as informally or formally as they liked. A usually pricey clothing event gave people the choice to opt out this year.
Cynthia Ervio wanted to be seen. The actress wore a neon green Valentino dress that had viewers searching for their sunglasses. Maybe staying home during this pandemic wasn’t the smartest choice after seeing this unmissable dress.
Sunday found many families of nominees together at home, hotels and even on an outside porch as the sun set during the three-hour show. Would you have taken the opportunity to rip off those sweats, undo that messy hair bun and get dressed up? Personally, I would’ve jumped right into a finely pressed suit and dashed to the red carpet for a night out with these fantastic movies and television stars.
Honestly, February 28th, 2021 can be documented as a fashion statement for the books.
Let’s just hope our award shows return in-person next year! On a lighter and more hippy-related note, Jason Sudeikis showed off his neon green, blue and purple hoodie. Meanwhile actress Jodi Foster appeared with her spouse in Prada pajamas alongside their precious dog.
Now, some stars chose to lean towards the relaxing route, while others whipped up fashion statements we could not resist. Did you see Angela Bassett in her vibrant purple gown with extravagant feather tapering on the shoulder? Bassett did not miss a beat with her outfit, and we are dying to know the details behind her dress choice.
Others like Schitts Creek star David Levy shined in a vibrant, yellow Valentino suit with sequins that were impossible to ignore. And, of course, our hearts throbbed when seeing Regina King in her dazzling silver and black Louis Vuitton dress on her L.A. balcony, following a red-carpet interview with former Glee Star, Jane Lynch.
All in all, this was a star-studded virtual night you should not have missed. Go ahead and take a look on the internet and see all the stars’ outfits that are being raved about. We look forward to witnessing the evolution of fashion statements as the new normal hopefully takes us away from our couches in the upcoming years.
