RICK ROSS STANDS UP WITH BLACK WOMEN

On August 20, 2020, Megan Thee Stallion went on IG Live to address the shots-fired incident. She publicly accused Tory Lanez of shooting her. “Yes, this n**** Tory shot me, you shot me,” said Megan Thee Stallion. Megan Thee Stallion clarified on IG Live that she was fearful of sharing information to the police because of Black people’s deaths caused by police. “Even though he shot me I tried to spare him,” said Megan Thee Stallion.

On September 25, 2020, Pitchfork published an article about Tory Lanez’s new album where he addressed the shooting. “He claims on the album that he was “framed,” said Pitchfork. Then on September 29, 2020, Insider and Billboard released articles about Tory Lanez caught committing fraud. “Tory Lanez and his team are reportedly using fake email accounts and doctored text messages to discredit Megan Thee Stallion’s allegation that he shot her,” said Insider.

“Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own,” said Megan Thee Stallion on a tweet. In the black community, there are numerous women like Megan Thee Stallion. The black women who suffer in silence under the hands of black men simply to protect the black men.

Black women should not be left alone to protect themselves especially against men within their own community. Recently, Rick Ross spoke up for black women and called out Tory Lanez for his unacceptable actions. “Just out of respect for Breonna Taylor, brother. We gotta respect these sisters. That ain’t how you address the accusations you facing with the sister. That was a poor choice, homie,” said Rick Ross in the video.

Black men calling out other black men like Tory Lanez out for their despicable actions is a sign that in the black community we will not sweep under the rug anymore and ready to start a change. No more letting black women protecting themselves. Black do something!

“You don’t ever, never, ever, put your hands on a woman in anger,” said Dr. Phill. You don’t put your hit people and you are not supposed to shot people. Period!
