Congratulations on your cover feature for the month of October which is a power issue! What does the word POWER mean to you?
MAKENZIE: The word power to me means truthful because I believe that all of us black girls have truthfulness in us making us who we are.
MISS NO: What is your favorite part about being a model?
MAKENZIE: My favorite part about being a model is meeting new people for every shoot that I do.
MISS NO: Do you have a favorite fashion designer?
MAKENZIE: Actually, I don’t have a favorite fashion designer at the moment.
MISS NO: If you could change anything about school, what would it be?
MAKENZIE: I would change the way that they assign homework because some days I have a lot of work that I have to do and it’s very stressful sometimes.
MISS NO: What is one thing you wish kids were able to do?
MAKENZIE: I wish that kids were able to get jobs at a young age because so many people would be able to make their own money and help their families out a whole lot.
MISS NO: Who is someone that makes you feel strong?
MAKENZIE: My mom is someone that makes me feel strong because she always is there for me when I need her and she will forever be my hype woman.
MISS NO: What do you aspire to be with you grow up?
MAKENZIE: When I grow up I would love to be a pediatrician because I love little kids and I love helping out others in their time of need.
