Running errands, taking care of the kids, and working jobs that you don’t love are some examples of what things can distract you from pouring into yourself. Many times, you may have abandoned your needs because there just isn’t enough time in your day. Your life should be filled with joyful moments that help you to stay in a positive state of mind. Therefore, it’s important for you to understand that making the time to celebrate your milestones give you the ability to encourage yourself. Whether it be passing a class, staying committed to your work-out regimen, eating healthy, or simply sharing love with others; take the time to self-congratulate. Celebrating yourself is a means to acknowledge your efforts toward transformation in your life. It is important that you find the time to celebrate who you are, to honor yourselves for your efforts, triumphs, and to praise your resilience even during the hardest of times.
This month I want to leave you with a few steps to assist you with some powerful tips that show you how to celebrate yourself.
1.) Write a gratitude letter to yourself. Often, we share gratitude for everything but ourselves. Write a list or letter of all the things that you are grateful for, and watch your mood go from good to great.
2.) Treat yourself to something that makes you happy. Anything that will keep a smile on your face make time to do it for yourself.
3.) Focus on Your Achievements. When you focus on your achievements you open yourself up to receiving and achieving more compliments.
In ending, celebrating yourself is an important part of self-care. I hope you know how much you mean to yourself by taking the necessary time to celebrate all your accomplishments, I hope you know that you deserve it.
