NO: Define what friendship means to you.
JALISA: To me friendship is a bond that is developed over time. After spending time with someone, learning them, laughing with them, crying with them.. That bond that’s created, that’s friendship. Friendship also means loyalty and trust. When you know you don’t have to worry about someone’s words or actions behind your back that’s friendship. True friendship is filled with love and compassion. When you’ve gotten to a place with a person where you can share info in a judge free zone, that’s friendship.

NO: What is the one thing you would tell a young girl looking in the mirror who is having a hard time loving herself?
JALISA: Any young girl having a hard time loving herself should know that she’s perfect. She’s perfect because God made her. She should know and understand that she is special and unique and there is nobody else in the world like her. I would encourage her to look at herself in the mirror every day and say positive things about her self. Speak life and love into herself even if she doesn’t believe it yet. I believe that self-affirmations are powerful and if she says it every day she will notice a shift in her thinking and that self-love will come.
