NO: Can you tell our readers about a little yourself?
CARL: I’m 25 years old. Been in the navy for 7 years. Don’t plan on making the navy a career. GingerHale’s is just the first of my many business I will have.

CARL: Patient, Honest, Optimistic, kind hearted, persistent, positive.
NO: What do you feel is the biggest misconception about black entrepreneurs?
CARL: That they have bad customer service. There is always gonna be businesses no matter who is running it with bad customer service. We should not be judged by the few.
NO: How important do you feel fashion is to the black culture?
CARL: Fashion is very important. That is another industry among the many that we have a huge influence on. Everyone around in the world is inspired by us.
NO: What advice would you give someone struggling with weight and self-esteem issues?
CARL: Keep pushing! Try to find the positive in every situation. Everyone’s journey is different so just stay on track. You will reach your end goal. Just don’t give up.
NO: What can we do more as an industry to advocate more woman embracing their bodies and loving them without the pressure of the social media?
CARL: Start teaching self love. Self love is the root everything. If you love your self, nobody can tell you anything.
NO: What do you want your legacy to be?
CARL: I want my legacy to be generational wealth along with generational knowledge. If I don’t teach them how I got the wealth, how long will it really last? Knowledge has to be passed on.
