May Editor’s Letter
“Beauty is defined as: “A combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, which pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.” Shape and Color are the two that stand out to me the most when I was reading this definition. Society has programmed us to not think our shape and color are beautiful if we are curvy or if our skin is dark. I’m here to say F those standards because your curves, carmel, chocolate and or dark chocolate skin color is the STANDARD of BEAUTY!

Growing up I did not like my skin because I was not light enough nor did I like my shape because I was not small enough. When I reached the age of 15 I just about had damn enough of not liking myself because my inner beauty was off the chain and it had to match my outer beauty that I hide from the world. At a certain point we must say enough is enough and we will love every inch ourselves and BREAK THESE BARRIERS just like our May LUXE Cover Model Actress, Brely Evans is doing in Hollywood!
May is our Beauty issue and this month we show you how to love you more by embracing who you are!!!
