This year’s Golden Globes marked a historic moment, one that is sure to be talked about six months from now and beyond. This year the tone was different. Many celebrities arrived wearing black to show their support and solidarity towards the Time’s Up Movement–the movement created by women and for women, taking a stance against sexual assault, harassment, and inequality in the workplace. Its message is clear-“It’s time to do something about it.”
With sexual assault and sexual harassment allegations centering on Hollywood in the recent months, the stars united and wore black to make a statement and voice their support for change for women not only in their industry, but for women in ALL industries.
Black was the theme, but glitz and glam didn’t fall short. The stars carefully crafted their styles to avoid looking drab on the red carpet. From subtle embellishments to gorgeous jewelry to barely there attire worthy of a double-take, the stars didn’t disappoint when it was time for their photo-op. Ahead are some of the best looks of the night.
