4 MAKEUP BRANDS TO WATCH

Women rely more and more on social media to help them discover and select makeup and beauty products. In this digital age, the memory of settling for what our local department store makeup counter has to offer is quickly fading. We are demanding that brands be both inclusive and diverse, and provide quality products that not only make us look fabulous, but are also affordable–bonus points if they are socially conscious. They are listening. Here some emerging Luxe faves to keep an eye on.

1. Glossier

Pretty packaging, affordable pricing, and savvy marketing (first glimpse of the new eyeshadow was on Beyonce at the Grammy’s). With a new product release every six to eight weeks, we’re not surprised that they literally sell out in minutes.

2. Black Moon

Cruelty free, vegan, and made in the USA, this brand inspired by the ethereal beauty of the moon and promises an out-of-this-world beauty experience. Their liquid lippies are to die for!

3.Real Her

Made to inspire and empower all women, the founder created the brand after the birth of his daughter. Each product comes with its own mantra to celebrate self-love and a portion of the profits go to an organization for women’s equality. Can it get any better than that?

4. Juvia’s Place

Known for its gorgeously vibrant eyeshadow colors with amazing pigment, this Africa-inspired brand has consistently been a social media favorite. The “little indie brand that could” has become so popular they now offer glow powder, gel eyeliner, liquid lippy, and makeup brushes. They also partnered with Ulta Beauty and its more than 500 locations. You go girl!
