Women Blessing Women was a phenomenal networking event. I have been to many networking events in the Los Angeles area and across the United States and I have to say this had my attention from the moment I walk through the door. It was a very warm and welcoming environment and you don’t get that often in Hollywood.

EJ, the Founder of Women Blessing Women, gave her testimony to all of her guest. It was beautiful watching her be vulnerable and share her story with women she didn’t now personally. She spoke about how God gave her a vision to start her business and how she would use her platform to help other women.

My favorite part was when her and her team noticed that the women weren’t really networking with each other so they had them do an exercise to help everyone get comfortable and get to know each other. To me that was awesome because so many times we go to networking events and we bring our business cards and we never really network with each other. We tend to only talk to the people we know. What I learned was to step out of my comfort zone and truly network with women that I did not know personally when networking.

The guest speaker was an entrepreneur from Inglewood, California–Maxie James, owner of Ellae Lisque and Style House by MJ. She definitely blessed the aesthetic and encouraged many women that attended Women Blessing Women.

As a fashion designer, owner of K Waters Fashions Style Lounge, and Creative Director of Luxe Kurves Magazine, we are excited to work with EJ in the future. She is definitely a part of the new wave of entrepreneurs coming up in the industry.
