She stopped stripping at age 23 to pursue her dream to become a famous entertainer. She was first seen on television on the show Love and Hip Hop: New York. Cardi B is a woman of many talents becoming a well known actress, comedian, host, and rapper. Now, in 2017 she released her song “BODAK YELLOW” that has made her even more famous.

On October 27, Cardi B was performing on stage to thousands of fans during the Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia when her now fiancé, Offset, came up on stage and went down on one knee. Offset is a part of the rap group Migos and has been dating Cardi since the beginning of this year. The video of the engagement was shared on Twitter by June Carter. Fans were screaming with excitement as Offset went on one knee to pop the question. Cardi has been sure to flaunt her 8-carat ring to everyone through social media on her Instagram. The couple has been dating since earlier this year and have finally made it official.

Cardi B not only just got engaged but is making history for being the first rapper in nineteen years to reach number one for her song “BODAK YELLOW” with no features. Lauryn Hill had the number one song “Doo Wop” for nineteen years. Cardi B bumped Taylor Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do” to number two.
