She also recently showed off her new body. She has lost 75 pounds since shooting the movie “Spy.”
Her secret? “I truly stopped worrying about it. I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked,” she says, and we agree with her 100%.
McCarthy recently revealed more exciting news… Gilmore Girls” will be back! And she will be reviving her role as Sookie in the new episodes, currently limited to four 90-minute shows, that will be broadcast on Netflix.
On our screens, the very first fashion show dedicated to curvy women: “Curvy Style with Timothy Snell”
A new TV show shot in NYC has arrived to save us from style despair, and the pioneer of it is Timothy Snell.
There is still a lack of inclusion of plus-size women…Timothy Snell
Mr. Snell, in his 15+ year career has always worked with curvy ladies, so he knows better than anyone else the situation of the plus size fashion industry in 2016…which he doesn’t find very satisfying.
In his words: “There is still a lack of inclusion of plus-size women within the fashion industry. Add in segregated store sections and online-only clothing options, and you get a pretty good idea of what it is like to shop as a curvy women.”
The new series started on Saturday, April 30, and we can follow Snell as he faces this reality while dressing curvy celebrities such as Queen Latifah and Jazmine Sullivan, as well as average women.
This is the first show of it kind to specifically highlight plus-size women, and that’s a huge step for the curvy community.
“75% of the American population is a size 14+ and the shocking fact is that they are the most under-serviced sizes in the market.
Our curvaceous ladies want to be seen as people who love fashion, and who have the money to purchase fashion.” Amen to that Timothy!
Ladies and gentleman… we finally have a curvy heroine!
Faith Herber is her name, and curvaceous is the shape of her body.
Finally a plus-size heroine will be getting her own monthly series beginning in July, published by Valiant Comics.
The new series, written by Jody Houser and drawn by Pere Pérez and Marguerite Sauvage, came about after a limited series, which began in January and ends this month, proved very popular.
“So many people have come up at conventions and told me how much the book means to them,” Ms. Houser said.
In even better news: Faith will also make it to the big screen as part of a slate of films from Sony Pictures featuring Valiant characters.
The first, “Bloodshot,” is scheduled for release next year, and we can’t wait to know who will be the lucky actress to get the new role.
