Spring Cleaning Your Wardrobe

Spring Cleaning

Hello spring, hello spring style.

With every new season a new opportunity is created: The opportunity to try new trends and revamp your style. While you are enjoying this seasonal shift, don’t deprive your style of a makeover.

Here are 4 tips to keep your style blooming.

50 Stunning Closet Designs @styleestate1. Sort: Out with the old, in with the new. This step seems obvious but it’s necessary. Remove all clothing from your closet, dresser drawers, and storage containers. During the hustle and bustle of the year, it’s easy to lose sight of just how much clothing you have. Placing everything out in the open helps make revamping easy and also proves that every time you told yourself you had nothing to wear, you lied. Sort clothing into three categories: items you wore last spring, items you didn’t wear, and items you won’t wear.

2. Try-on: you need to try on the items that you plan on keeping in your wardrobe to ensure that they still fit properly. If your favorite sweater has been washed too many times and no longer holds it shape, its time to say goodbye. If quality pieces are too big or need small repairs, make a pile of items to take to your local cleaners or tailor.

3. Take inventory: So you have narrowed down your closet to clothing that you actually wear and clothing that fits you well- now you must take inventory. If you have ten pair of black pants in different styles, take note. Knowing exactly what you have or don’t have is essential to wardrobe success. If you don’t have any light wash jeans, write yourself a shopping list and include it.

4. Decide: Decide what trends you want to incorporate in your wardrobe. Spring is all about fun and flirty so don’t be afraid to go bold. Incorporating new trends into your existing wardrobe keeps your look fresh and exciting.
